Paris Saint-Germain has announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Thiago Motta from Real Madrid for a fee believed to be in the region of €25 million.
The 34-year-old will join the French champions on a five-year contract and will be expected to provide competition for the likes of Marco Verratti and Angel Di Maria in midfield.
Motta began his career at AC Milan before moving to Inter Milan and then Real Madrid, where he spent six seasons.
He made over 300 appearances for the Spanish club and helped them win three La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey and one UEFA Champions League.
Motta is known for his defensive skills and leadership qualities, and PSG hope that he can add further depth to their midfield options ahead of next season's Ligue 1 campaign.
