The Qingdao City Football Club has appointed a new head coach for the China League Two (CL2) season, following the departure of former manager Wang Yuxian.
Wang was replaced by Guo Zhongxin, who had previously served as the club's assistant coach and has been involved in several successful campaigns in China's top leagues. The move is expected to bring fresh energy and direction to the team, with Guo's experience in the CL2 season and his track record in coaching clubs such as Shanghai Shenhua and Jiangsu Suning also being well-received.
Guo will take over from the current head coach, Ye Jianlian, who left the club after the previous season. Ye is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in Chinese football and has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the game.
Under Guo, Qingdao City FC has consistently performed well in their domestic league, winning the regular season title last year. He will be tasked with guiding the team to further success this season, with a focus on developing young talent and improving the overall quality of the squad.
It remains to be seen how Guo will approach the job, but it is clear that he has the right mix of experience, skills and vision to lead Qingdao City FC to greater heights in the CL2 season. The club is already looking forward to Guo's arrival and hoping that he can help them achieve their goals.
