Bayern Munich continued their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga with a dominant display against VfL Bochum on Saturday evening. The German giants scored five goals in total as they secured a comfortable victory at Allianz Arena.
The game started off brightly for Bayern, who took control early on and created numerous opportunities to extend their lead. However, Bochum proved to be a difficult opponent, defending stoutly and frustrating Bayern's attacks.
Despite this, Bayern were able to find the back of the net first through Robert Lewandowski in the 16th minute. The Polish striker was brought down by a defender and converted from the spot to give Bayern the lead.
Bochum struggled to create any meaningful chances throughout the rest of the first half, but they did manage to pull one goal back in the 42nd minute when Christian Seedorf headed home from a corner kick.
However, Bayern responded quickly and went ahead again just before halftime thanks to a fine strike from Thomas Muller. The midfielder curled a shot past the goalkeeper to make it 2-1 at the break.
In the second half, Bayern continued to dominate possession and create more scoring opportunities. Lewandowski was at the forefront of the action once again, scoring his second goal of the match in the 70th minute after receiving a pass from Joshua Kimmich.
Kane then added to Bayern's lead in the 80th minute, finishing off a brilliant move involving Leon Goretzka and Thiago Alcântara to make it 4-1.
Sané also contributed to the rout, scoring his first goal for the club in the 90th minute. The winger beat two defenders before slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the net to make it 5-1.
Overall, Bayern Munich showed why they are considered one of the best teams in Europe. Their attacking prowess and ability to defend stoutly ensured that they were able to secure all three points against Bochum, and continue their impressive run in the Bundesliga.
